MYTH: SQUATS ARE BAD ON THE KNEES
Squats strengthen the muscles, attachments and bone at the knee. Some people have found that squatting fully & flat footed (instead of partway down or a board under the heels) is better on the knees. Some people w/ certain leg or low back injuries may not be able to squat, but if at all possible, squat as much as you can. Squats build & stimulate the body more than any other exercise.
